Prayer Thought of the Month

Prayer is the invisible locksmith to closed doors

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you’ve been turned down for something whether it be a home loan or financial support to get a car because of your credit? Have you ever found yourself being overlooked for a promotion on your job, time and time again or not being considered for a job because you were deemed not qualified?

As a Christian, you will find yourself in situations where it seems like the odds are stacked against you and/or it looks nearly impossible for you to achieve or accomplish something in your life. However, God establishes in His word through Jesus Christ, that you can visibly overcome moments of opposition, or closed opportunities, simply through your personal prayer life, which is not seen.

Jesus highlights the effectiveness of prayer and it’s ability to allow you to overcome something that would appear to be unconquerable in a conversation He had with His disciples after being disappointed by a fig tree He was looking to eat from that didn’t have any figs on it. Because of this, Jesus proclaimed that no fruit should ever grow on the tree and at that moment, the tree withered away. In Matthew 21, verses 21 and 22, it states,

“21 – Jesus answered and said unto to them, Verily I say unto you, If you have faith and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. 22 – And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

You can accomplish anything in God through prayer, believing and trusting in God’s word and His plan for your life through Jesus Christ. By doing so, He will provide you with the keys (Matthew 16:19) to access whatever you thought was inaccessible and to obtain what was thought to be unobtainable.
