Recognize the Gift

Pastor Jonathan McKnight delivers a sensational message that encourages us this Christmas season to truly identify and recognize who is and what are the true gifts of the holiday. As we prepare to celebrate and receive gifts from each other this upcoming Christmas, it is important that we know what gifts really matter and the best gift that was given to us by God, which was His Son, Jesus Christ. During this time, we are encouraged to not only reflect on the gift of Jesus Christ being born, but to also reflect and express the gifts of showing love to others, giving to those who may be able to give back to us, transforming the lives of those around us through conveying the righteousness of Jesus, and forgiving those who’ve wronged us. More importantly, we are also encouraged to emphasize the need for the gift of God’s salvation for those who are lost, and cast out. In this holiday season, the pandemic is still very much in effect, with people becoming ill and leaving us far too soon. That is why while people are being occupied with receiving gifts from one another, it is highly important for us as believers of Jesus to recognize and express the need of receiving the ultimate gift of God’s salvation — the gift of the Holy Ghost through the acceptance of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, so that no souls are lost, when lives are lost.
